How to find boiler insurance

Boiler insurance is an essential piece of cover to have in case something goes wrong with your boiler. It is amazing how much easier it is to sleep at night if you have a tricky boiler to know that you are covered by insurance, and it will stop you from having those moments of dread when you hear stories of what havoc seemingly perfect boilers can cause when something goes wrong.
Having boiler insurance is one thing, but finding it is another. The best way to start your insurance search is to understand what it is you need. Insurers may only provide for certain kinds of boilers, for example, and often will not provide insurance for boilers over a particular age. With this in mind, try to collate a list of things you need from your insurance policy, remembering to keep the specifications of your boiler and your budget in mind.
Once you have this list, try to throw your net wide by doing a simple internet search. From this, you can start to whittle down the short list by using your list and comparing the insurers with the things you need. Once you have this short list, try to get a  gauge of opinion, either online or by asking friends and family. Everyone will have an opinion, so try to understand the facts behind everyone’s opinions so that you aren’t misled.
Once you have this short list, try asking for some quotes for a boiler insurance policy. If you know what budget you have, then you can start to work out what sounds best for you, and you will have a policy that you can afford, works according to your needs, and will let you to sleep a little better at night.
